PICTURES OF HOWL THE NOTRE DAME CATHEDRAL LOOKS LIKE AT THE MOMENT

This is what the Notre Dame Cathedral currently looks like. Authorities have declared on Tuesday morning that the blaze had been contained as firefighters hosed the south side of the transept to cool down the building. The fire Scorched the Monument’s roof. Char and smoke marks can be seen on portions of the walls and wooden roof beams that seemed eternal now like used matchsticks. The overall structure of the church appears to be intact. But Notre Dame has “ some points of vulnerability “, the officials said, at the vault, part of the roof of the North transept and part of the southern belfry. Engineers, architects and firefighters planned to start by assessing the structural damage. They warned that they still do not know the extent of the catastrophe. The Gothic cathedral was built over centuries starting 1163. It was partially consumed in just hours Monday.
